General Questions
1. Where does Northside AYSO practice and play games?Northside AYSO plays most games and practices at Rogers Park (7345 N. Washtenaw -

map).
2. Any chance my child can play right now (after the Fall or Spring seasons begin)?
Sometimes slots become available during the season; you can place your child on the waiting list by completing an online pre-registration at Register Now, and we will contact you if a space opens.
3. I don't have a computer or can't figure out the online registration. Is there an alternative?
Please visit a library or borrow a friend's computer, etc., and persevere with the online registration. Be ready with uniform (jersey) size and full contact information for player, parent(s)/guardian, and healthcare provider. (See jersey sizing information.) For help in registering, email [email protected]
4. My child played in Northside Chicago AYSO (Rogers Park AYSO) last year. Do I need to provide a birth certificate at registration this year?
No. Proof of birthdate is required only if the child has never played with Northside Chicago AYSO.
5. Is the player fee pro-rated or reduced if my child can only play half the year?
No, the player fee is a single fee which covers the costs of running our region. Whether a player plays the full year (Fall and Spring) or just a single season, our costs are the same. If you can't afford the fee, financial assistance is available - no child will be left out for financial reasons. Contact the registrar at [email protected] .
6. Can I get my child on the same team as his/her friend or request a specific coach?
During registration you can make note of a teammate request but please know that we cannot guarantee teammate requests. The only exception: If you have two children in the same age division, we will assign them to the same team.
7. My child will be three years old soon. Can he/she play AYSO soccer?
Yes, but they MUST be 3 years of age by birth year. For the child birth year chart, click here.
8. Do I need to register each of my children if I have more than one child playing?
Yes, you will need to register each child separately. Each individual player needs to be registered with AYSO.
9. My child has played in Northside Chicago AYSO in the past, but did not play last fall, will we be able to register as a returning player?
Yes. If you use the same login information your previously registered children should show up in the system.
10. I want to be a coach. Can I request specific players?
No. Parents coach their own children. If coaches with talented kids team up, they have an unfair advantage.
11. When and where are games played?
All games for all divisions are played on Sundays and depending on the age division sometime between 11 AM and 5PM.
12. When and where will practices be held?
The practice schedule are set by the coaches.Teams practice on a weeknight (Monday thru Thursday) typically from 6-7PM at either Rogers Park or Lerner Park. The exception are School Yard and 6U who only play on Sundays.
13. Do I have to provide an e-mail address when I register?
Yes, for three reasons. First, it enables the coaches to contact their players more efficiently. Second, almost all communication from the Region will be electronic. Third, National AYSO may make limited use in accordance with their privacy policy.
14. What if I miss registration?
If you miss registration, you can place your child on the waiting list and go through the waiting list process. Children on the waiting list will only be placed if there are team vacancies. If you are not contacted about placement, your child's name will remain active on the waiting list.
15. Is there any financial assistance available?
We never want financial need to stand in the way of kids playing soccer. Northside Chicago AYSO offers scholarships. Fill out our Scholarship Form and return it to [email protected].
